1. How do I watch the video in Full Screen?
We strongly recommend viewing these videos in Full Screen as these videos are about a complex subject with charts and illustrations.
To watch the videos in full screen, click on the Full Screen button on the bottom right hand corner of the video player. To return to the Normal Screen at any time press the ESC key on your keyboard.
2. I can't find the Play button.
Videos on this website are streamed through the Adobe Flash Player. If you are having trouble playing and viewing videos, we suggest installing the latest version of Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player can be obtained free of charge from Adobe’s website.
3. The video doesn’t play when I press the Play button.
Videos on this website are streamed through Adobe Flash Player. If you are having trouble playing and viewing videos, we suggest installing the latest version of Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player can be obtained free of charge from Adobe’s website.
If you have a slow internet connection you may not be able to watch the video directly from the home page, or it may take a very long time to load on the home page. If you are unable to watch the video we recommend downloading the video from the downloads page.
4. Do I use my ‘Download Quota’ when I play the video instead of downloading it?
Playing the video on the website home page will still use your download quota. Your download quota is affected by:
1) How much of the video you watch.
2) Which version—high or low quality—plays on your computer. The player will automatically play high quality if your internet connection is fast enough.
3) Watching the video in full screen or normal screen.
If you watch the entire 7 Part Video in high quality (very clear) in full screen it will use 3.2GB of your download quota.
If you watch the entire 7 Part Video in high quality (very clear) in normal screen it will use 2.5GB of your download quota.
If you watch the entire 7 Part Video in low quality (a bit fuzzy) it will use 1.3GB of your download quota.
5. Which version of the video should I download?
We recommend Downloading the High Quality version because the image is much clearer and easier to watch in full screen. In the low quality version the text on the diagrams cannot be read.
You should check your download quota before deciding which version to download. Some older and cheaper internet plans and connections have limited download quotas which, if you exceed, you may be charged extra or your internet speed will be slowed until the end of your billing month.
Contact your internet service provider to discuss your current plan and options.
6. I can’t find the video I have downloaded.
To download and store each part on your computer, you will need to go the the Downloads Page, click on the Part you wish to download, and choose the location to download to (eg. Desktop). If you have trouble locating the files once you have saved them, search for the first part of the filename , eg.‘WTMIntroPart’.
7. I downloaded the video but can’t get it to play.
To watch these videos on your computer after you have downloaded them you may need to download software that is capable of playing the H.264 video file format. The following programs are all able to play H.264 format videos and can be downloaded free of charge: iTunes, QuickTime, VLC media player, Media Player Classic, FFDshow (a plugin for Windows Media Player) Microsoft's Zune Player Software and Miro.
Alternatively you can download an MP3 format of the Audio of the Introductory Video. An MP3 is suitable for listening to on any program or device which can play MP3 files (which is most electronic media players, including: iPod, Zune, Winamp, Windows Media Play, mobile phones etc).
8. How can I put the video or audio on my iPod/iPhone?
The easiest way to put the video or audio on your iPod/iPhone is to subscribe to the iPod/iPhone Podcast for iTunes. This will download the video to the Podcasts section of iTunes so you can then sync it to your iPod.
You can also Download the low quality video, copy it to iTunes and then sync it to your iPod.
9. What is a podcast? Why should I subscribe to a podcast?
A podcast is a series of digital media files (either audio or video) that are released episodically and downloaded to your computer’s media player automatically. The advantage of subscribing to a podcast is that your podcast player will regularly check to see if there are updates and automatically download them, so you will always have the latest version.
To subscribe to the video as a podcast, you need a podcast player. The most common podcast players are iTunes, Zune Player or Miro and they can be downloaded free of charge.
