Steven Collins BEd, 49 (as at Jan 2010) grew up in Hobart, Tasmania and was educated at Hobart Matriculation College and the University of Tasmania. With a love of the outdoors and the social sciences, Steven purchased a copy of Beyond from a Hobart bookstore in 1992 when he noticed that Tim Macartney-Snape had written the foreword. Soon after, Steve and his wife Lyn became involved in the WTM’s activities, travelling regularly from their home south of Hobart to Sydney and other places to participate in WTM events and activities. Steve, Lyn and their family moved to Sydney in 2008 to support the WTM more directly. He works as a school teacher on Sydney’s northern beaches.
